One of the things that has been a question of mine is whether or not Social Media is a friend or foe of the corporate world. Does the existence of the corporate team allow for a closer connection to the audience or is it a place for disgruntled customers to simply vent to the larger audience? A free billboard of the company’s weaknesses? It seems that companies are increasingly posting and wanting to appear “connected” only to chase negative comments with an endless team of WFH employees. Then again, perhaps this is a good thing for the economy?
